Pre- and Post-natal yoga practice can help you to discover the mind-body benefits of yoga as they apply to all stages of pregnancy and the postnatal period. The physical practice will combine safe poses for better posture, stability and pelvic floor strengthening with longer held stretches designed to improve flexibility and ease common musculoskeletal issues associated with pregnancy, recovery after birth, and caring for a child. Gentle breath-work and guided imagery will be used as part of a meditative component to help you relax, connect with your baby, and prepare mentally for childbirth and your new life with your child.

Stacey has over fifteen years of professional experience as a registered dietitian, yoga and Pilates teacher. She has worked professionally as the chief dietitian at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, initiating the Neonatal Nutrition program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, as the chief dietitian at Albany Medical Center, and teaching yoga and Pilates along the way at many community, corporate, hospital and university-based facilities. She holds professional certifications in the areas of prenatal and neonatal nutrition, nutrition support, mat and barre Pilates, and in seniors, prenatal, children’s and yin yoga. Stacey’s current yoga teaching focuses primarily on the pre- and post-natal population. A testimony to the impact of an effective yoga practice, Stacey credits her personal yoga practice during pregnancy for helping with the delivery of three healthy babies.

    Next series starts Jan 20!

  3. Julie says:

After 2/24 will there be another series starting? Thanks!

  4. Fay says:

Hi Julie, yes, we will probably continue on with another six week series. However, you can “drop in” to the class before then on any Sunday for a regular drop in fee of $16?

  5. nicole says:

Will there be any more prenatal event series? :-)

  6. Fay says:

    Hi Nicole,

For now, we are going to try keeping the pre-natal yoga class as a regular weekly drop-in class through the summer but we won’t necessarily have it every week depending on the teacher’s summer plans. So, you should check the schedule on the day of… Sundays at 4pm . Thanks!

    Fay
